It's off to Penfold's we go

Both blocks of Shiraz as well as our Cab Sav have been ranked 'A-Grade' again this vintage by the winemakers at Treasury Wine Estates. Lady Bay Vineyard has been supplying fruit to Treasury (previously Fosters Wine Group, Southcorp, Rosemount…) for over 12 years and our vineyard has consistently achieved A-Grade status. This means very good pricing per tonne for our fruit, and that our Shiraz and Cabernet go into the top-end wines within their product range. Although crushed and fermented at the Ryecroft Winery in McLaren Vale, our barrels are usually earmarked for Penfold's early and make their way to the Barossa Valley for blending. Our fruit has previously found a home in Penfold's Bin 389 (also known as Baby Grange) and Bin 407, as well as Wolf Blass Platinum Label Shiraz. It's a great reward when we receive this kind of recognition and makes all of the effort that goes into growing the grapes worthwhile.
